Plowing removes accumulated snow from paved surfaces – driveways, parking lots, access roads, and similar areas. Ice management addresses the formation of ice on paved surfaces and walkways, which is a separate and in some ways more dangerous problem than snow accumulation. Ice can form before a storm when temperatures drop and moisture on paved surfaces freezes, during a storm when snow is compacted by traffic and refreezes, and after a storm when meltwater from plowed snow refreezes overnight. A snow management program that only plows leaves the ice management problem unaddressed, which is why our service includes pre-treatment anti-icing, active ice melt application during storms, and post-storm re-treatment when refreezing conditions develop. For commercial clients in particular, ice management is the most important component of a comprehensive winter safety program.

We offer both. Seasonal contracts provide a fixed price for the entire winter season, covering all storm events within the contracted service scope regardless of the number or severity of storms. Seasonal contracts are the best value in a heavy snow year and provide the certainty of a confirmed crew and priority scheduling throughout the season. Per-storm pricing is available for clients who prefer to pay only for services rendered, but per-storm clients are scheduled after pre-season contract clients during high-demand periods, which means response times may be longer during and immediately after significant storm events. We are happy to discuss both options and help you determine which approach is the best fit for your property and your budget.

We use a combination of liquid anti-icing agents for pre-treatment and granular ice melt products for active and post-storm treatment. The specific products we use are selected based on the temperature conditions, the surface type, and the environmental considerations relevant to each property. We are mindful of the impact of ice melt products on landscaping, concrete, and other surfaces, and we apply products at the rates and in the locations appropriate for each property’s specific conditions. For properties with sensitive landscaping adjacent to paved areas, or properties where environmental runoff is a concern, we can discuss product selection and application protocols as part of the pre-season planning process.

Yes. For commercial clients, we provide service documentation for every visit that records the date and time of service, the scope of work performed, the products applied, and the conditions at the time of service. This documentation is provided to the property manager or owner following each service visit and is maintained in our records throughout the season. In the event of a liability claim related to winter slip-and-fall incidents, this documentation provides a clear record of the snow management actions taken at your property and the timing of those actions relative to the storm event. We understand that liability documentation is a critical component of commercial snow management, and we build the documentation process into our service protocol for every commercial client.
